Professional Studio Experience

Projects completed while working at Sheri Law Art Glass. Final designs and commissions are the work of the studio; fabrication assistance by Erik Kleiber.

Sheri Law Art Glass

This page highlights some of the professional studio work I assisted with during my time at Sheri Law Art Glass. I first joined the studio as an intern, where I learned the craft of stained glass, and later continued on as a stained glass artist.

Pictured here are Sheri Law and me at the dedication of a large traditional leaded stained glass installation created for a local church. Working in the studio gave me valuable hands-on experience in design, fabrication, and the finishing process required to complete professional stained glass work.

Neuschwanstein Castle stained glass window

Castle Window Project

These windows were designed to resemble Neuschwanstein Castle. Many of the pieces were individually kiln-fired to add extra detail and dimension, including fused accents that suggest stonework and architectural features.

After the fusing process, each piece was assembled using traditional lead came construction. The panel was then cemented for strength, cleaned, and prepared for installation. This project gave me valuable experience combining kiln work with traditional stained glass techniques.

Hawaiian landscape stained glass window

Hawaiian Landscape Window

This window was created from a photograph provided by the client and translated into stained glass. The goal was to capture the atmosphere of the original scene while adapting it to the structure and beauty of leaded glass.

To help achieve a more natural look, individual leaf details were fused onto selected pieces before assembly. I cut many of the smaller colored glass pieces used throughout the design. Projects like this helped deepen my understanding of custom interpretation, color selection, and studio craftsmanship.
